Windows 10 1709 Home Edition is not happy with my Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver. Intel released a new version of this driver just a couple of months ago but my system disables both 2 previous 2015 versions and the newest 2018 version.
I have tried disabling driver update checks and driver signature integrity but Windows 10 1709 still won’t let me run the HD 4000 driver. When I try to install any of the versions they start to install and I get my multiple monitor support back for a few seconds and then at the very tail end of the install everything blinks, my external monitors go off and the driver disabled warning comes up. The error code is the meaningless Error 43 device compatibility error.Any other ideas on how to override the integrity checks would be appreciated!.
I'm currently running Windows Vista 32-bit OS.My plan is to create a partition, and install Windows Vista 64-bit. This is so i can test out which system i prefer better.( i intend to try with Windows Xp 64-bit later.) I would than delete the remaining OS. I'd also like to somehow make a restore cd or 'image' of my entire computer, so i can pop it in when my computer becomes clogged and itll bring me right back to a fresh install.(all of the above will be taking place on one Physical hard drive, just an array of partions)Questions:1. What are the steps and procedure i'd take when creating a partition and installing Windows Vista 64-bit.2. After installation, Am i able to delete the OS i choose not to use, deleting that partion, and restoring my hard drive to it's full capacity.3.
